The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process whereby adults are initiated into full communion with the Catholic Church. The R.C.I.A. is for:
those who were baptized in other faith traditions but now feel called to become Catholic.
those who have never been baptized or do not belong to a faith tradition but now feel called to become Catholic.
those who were baptized Catholic but never received Confirmation and First Holy Communion.
those who have received both Catholic baptism and First Holy Communion but were never Confirmed.

El Rito de Iniciación Cristiana de Adultos es el proceso mediante el cual los adultos son iniciados en la plena comunión con la Iglesia Católica. El R.C.I.A. es para:
aquellos que fueron bautizados en otras tradiciones religiosas pero que ahora se sienten llamados a convertirse en católicos. aquellos que nunca han sido bautizados o no pertenecen a una tradición de fe pero ahora se sienten llamados a convertirse en católicos. aquellos que fueron bautizados católicos pero nunca recibieron la Confirmación y la Primera Comunión. aquellos que han recibido tanto el bautismo católico como la Primera Comunión pero nunca fueron confirmados.
